Spring is here, which means travel and vacation season is quickly approaching. Yay! When you’re taking your trips, it’s important to remember to take good care of your smile. However, that’s only possible if you have the right oral hygiene tools in your suitcase. So, to help you pack for your smile, Dr. Bart Deering and our dental team have some helpful tips for you.
First, pack your travel toothbrush. The smaller the toothbrush you have, the better. This is because it won’t take up much room in your suitcase. Before you pack your brush, store it in a protective cover. The cover will protect the brush by keeping the bristles free from germs. The best cover available is one that has ventilation. This effectively allows the brush to dry after you clean your smile.
Second, pack your travel toothpaste. This type of paste is beneficial if you’re traveling by plane. Remember, liquids that weigh more than 3.4 ounces are not allowed on the aircraft, so make sure your paste is small enough to meet the weight requirements. If you are not traveling on a plane, you can pack a regular tube of toothpaste if you have enough room in your bag.
Third, pack your floss. This is important because you will need to floss your teeth at least once a day if you want to maintain strong and healthy teeth and gums. The floss will also be handy if you accidentally get something stuck between your teeth. The floss can remove the particle without any issues.
